Hosts Matrix Apocalipsis, the afternoon-to-evening session.
Stay around Chicó or Parque de la 93 for a convenient northern base.- Mezcal – Calle 83 #14-26, Zona Rosa. A Mexican-style cantina combining tequila and mezcal with live music and late-night partying.
Hosts WE Naufragio, swapping its usual Latin programme for the festival’s circuit closing party.
Convenient for Zona T and La Cabrera hotels.Where to Stay
No single hotel is within walking distance of all five venues. Choose Chapinero Alto for the traditional gay scene, Quinta Camacho for a balanced location, Zona Rosa for hotel facilities and shopping, or Parque de la 93 for apartment-style accommodation.
- HAB Hotel Bogotá – Chapinero Alto. Our pick for visitors seeking a smaller hotel near the traditional gay nightlife district. A garden, terrace, gym and restaurant give you somewhere convenient to spend time between parties. Room categories range from compact options to suites, so compare floor areas before booking.
- Casa Legado – Quinta Camacho. A boutique property with individually designed rooms, mid-century styling and shared living areas. The residential setting suits couples who want somewhere personal to return to after the festival. Restaurants and cafés give the surrounding streets daytime appeal, and the location offers a practical compromise between central Chapinero and the northern events.
- B.O.G. Hotel – La Cabrera. The strongest choice here for a full-service stay near Zona Rosa, with a rooftop pool, restaurant and spa. Its location works for shopping, dining and reaching the closing party. The central Chapinero events require a car journey.
- Salvio Parque 93 Bogotá, Curio Collection by Hilton – Parque de la 93. An apartment-style option for a longer visit or extra independence. Selected categories have kitchens, balconies and separate living space; check your chosen room description. Restaurants surround the park, and the northern location suits the rooftop party.
Before the Parties
Bogotá’s gay scene centres on Chapinero, with hotels, restaurants and larger nightlife venues extending north through Zona Rosa and Chicó. “Chapinero” can refer to the wider administrative district or the smaller central nightlife area.
The streets around Calles 58 to 60 and Carreras 9 to 13 form the traditional gay nightlife core, with neighbourhood bars, karaoke venues and Theatron. Lourdes sits farther north along Carrera 13.
Gay Bars in Chapinero
- El Perro y la Calandria – Carrera 9A #59-22. A classic gay cantina built around big singalongs, karaoke and drag performances. good first stop for a distinctly Colombian night.
- Leos Bar Mística – Calle 59 #9-36. A multi-level gay bar and club with separate musical spaces. The cantina favours rancheras and emotional singalong classics; other rooms move through reggaeton, electronic and tropical music, with drag appearances adding to the programme.
Gay Clubs in Chapinero
- Theatron – Calle 58 Bis #10-32. A former theatre expanded into a sprawling LGBTQ+ nightlife complex with themed rooms, terraces, bars and live shows. Move between pop, reggaeton, salsa and electronic music without leaving the building. Give it a full evening rather than treating it as a quick stop.
- El Búnker – Carrera 9A #60-25. A multi-room LGBTQ+ club with a crossover terrace, popular-music cantina, urban room and tribal electronic space. A useful choice for groups whose musical tastes differ, with everything from salsa and vallenato to reggaeton and club beats.
Farther North: Zona Rosa
- Bar Chiquita Bogotá – Carrera 14A #83-63. A theatrical three-floor LGBTQ+ bar-club with kitsch interiors, drag shows and a pop-and-perreo soundtrack. Choose it for cocktails and performances before committing to a longer night. This is in Zona Rosa, a separate journey from the central Chapinero bar cluster.
- It is the most convenient area for the closing party at Mezcal. The traditional Chapinero gay bars require a separate journey.
Getting Between the Parties
- Save each venue’s full address. Searching only for “El Mozo” can direct you somewhere other than your party venue.
- Arrange a car through your hotel or a transport app for journeys between districts and late-night returns.
- Allow a traffic buffer before each event.
- Pack a light outer layer for transfers and the rooftop session. Bogotá evenings can feel cool after leaving the club.
