What to Expect

  • A diverse crowd of bears, cubs, chubs, bearded guys and their admirers, alongside other LGBTQ+ partygoers.
  • A busy dance floor with a mix of shirtless men, casual outfits, harnesses and plenty of hairy chests.
  • Resident and guest DJs playing upbeat dance music, mixing familiar anthems with deeper club tracks.
  • A friendly, social atmosphere where it’s easy to meet other guys without the pressure of a conventional circuit party.
  • Themed editions throughout the year, from Halloween specials to Christmas celebrations and larger warehouse-style events.
  • A body-positive approach that welcomes different ages, body types and identities.

The Venue: Royal Vauxhall Tavern

The Royal Vauxhall Tavern is one of London’s most historic LGBTQ+ venues, located at 372 Kennington Lane in Vauxhall.

Dating back to the 19th century, the Grade II-listed pub has hosted generations of drag performers, cabaret artists and gay club nights.

  • The main room features a central performance area surrounded by a dance floor, with a lively atmosphere as the crowd gathers.
  • A traditional bar runs along one side of the venue, making it easy to socialise between sets.
  • The compact layout brings dancers close to the DJs and performers, creating a more personal experience than a large nightclub.
  • Vauxhall Underground and railway stations are approximately two minutes away on foot.
  • A cloakroom operates during the event. All coats and bags must be checked in as a condition of entry.

Before the Party

Vauxhall offers several good options for drinks before BEEFMINCE, with a mix of traditional pubs and established gay clubs.

  • The Cock Tavern – 340 Kennington Road. A welcoming LGBTQ+ pub with a relaxed crowd, DJs and a sociable atmosphere, ideal for starting the evening with friends.
  • Eagle London – 349 Kennington Lane. A legendary gay club with a large garden, cocktail bar and weekend DJs. Popular with bears, leather fans and a mixed gay crowd.
  • The Tommyfield – 185 Kennington Lane. A traditional gastropub serving British dishes and Sunday roasts, a good choice for dinner before heading to the club.

Where to Stay

Stay in Vauxhall for a short walk home after BEEFMINCE. The area also offers convenient Underground connections to Soho, Westminster and central London.

  • Staybridge Suites London Vauxhall – Our pick for a party weekend, with spacious suites, kitchenettes and included breakfast, approximately 10 minutes from the venue.
  • Park Plaza London Riverbank – Riverside hotel with an indoor pool, sauna and gym, ideal for recovering after a late night.
  • Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment – Upscale riverside hotel with contemporary rooms and Thames views, within walking distance of Vauxhall’s gay nightlife.
  • Novotel London Waterloo – Comfortable four-star hotel with a fitness centre and sauna, offering a quieter base close to Westminster and the South Bank.
