The Festival
- Next Edition: Awaiting dates, typically Thursday to Sunday in late March.
- FABAlice Festival, Alice Springs is a 4 day rainbow festival in the beating heart of Australia.
- Spectacular drag, comedy and cabaret performances and events featuring a Flag raising ceremony, Street Party, Colouring the town Rainbow, Cinema screenings, Drag Queen Bingo Mega Draw, Drag Queen Story time, and more.
- Enjoy a party under the stars, Afterparty, Drag Queen Bingo, a Pool Party and an DJ pumping out the tunes set amongst a glittering landscape of Alice Springs!
- This year most of the events take place at Alice Springs Convention Centre, with its very own Priscilla bar.
- Rent your own villa at Desert Palms, with access to a crystal clear swimming pool and a wide range of amenities, just a 5-minute walk to the top attractions.

- The Juicy Rump, Lasseters – A relaxed bar and grill at Lasseters with live DJs, outdoor decks and casual dining vibes.
- Andy McNeill Room – The Andy McNeill Room’s home base for local events and community gatherings in central Alice.
- Todd Mall Alice Springs – A lively pedestrian mall where local markets and nightlife meet under open skies.
- Alice Springs Convention Centre – The Alice Springs Convention Centre, a key venue for conferences and events is situated slightly to the southwest of the Alice Springs town centre. Located at 93 Barrett Drive, it is adjacent to the Lasseters Hotel Casino, about 3km from the very heart of Alice Springs.
- Alice Springs Aquatic & Leisure Centre – A poolside playground for drag aqua aerobics, social splashes and active afternoons.
What to see in Alice Springs?
- Alice Springs has long been a diverse town, a little rainbow bubble in the centre of Australia and the FABAlice Festival is the perfect way to enjoy the local hospitality at its finest.
- The city is a mirage in the heart of Australia’s Red Centre and is the perfect stopping off point for one of the world’s great wonders, Ayers Rock/Uluru.
History of the Festival
- FABalice Festival started in 2018 and was inspired by the cult classic movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
- It sits prettily on the gay social calendar just after the Mardi Gras festivities in Sydney, a picturesque desert escape in which to recover from the excesses of the previous weeks, or you know, just add to the damage.
