What is a Bloco?
- A “bloco party,” often referred to simply as “bloco,” is a street party during the Rio Carnival in Brazil, where people gather to celebrate with music and dancing.
- Blocos are organized by local groups and are known for their festive atmosphere, featuring samba music, drummers, and participants dressed in colourful costumes.
- They are a fundamental part of the Rio Carnival experience, accessible to everyone and found throughout the city during the Carnival season.
