- The event starts in front of Argentina’s “pink house”, the Casa Rosada governmental palace in Plaza de Mayo (20-minutes from Palermo), with live music and a diversity fair before the parade heads to the National Congress building.
- The fair kicks off at 10 am. Marching bands start performing from 11 am and the parade begins at 4pm.
- Stay close to the parade and the city’s top attractions at the NH Collection Buenos Aires Centro Histórico offering delicious breakfasts, excellent service and great location.
Where to Watch the Parade
Choose your position according to whether you want to see the gathering, watch the procession or spend the evening near the finish. These recommendations follow the traditional route; check the organisers’ final announcement before heading out.
- Plaza de Mayo: Best for the build-up, community stalls and meeting friends before departure. Arrive before the procession assembles, then move towards the Avenida de Mayo exit to watch the trucks leave.
- Avenida de Mayo around Piedras and Chacabuco: Our pick for a first visit. Watch the march along the avenue, then join a group or follow a music truck towards Congreso.
- Avenida de Mayo near Avenida 9 de Julio: Central meeting area with approaches from surrounding streets. Find a position along the avenue rather than standing in the crossing, where people moving through can obstruct your view.
- Plaza del Congreso: Great for catching the closing shows. Crowds build as marchers arrive, so agree on a meeting point away from the centre of the square.
- Upgrade your Buenos Aires Pride experience with a stay at the Travel Proud certified Casa Lucía, a Melia Hotel, with a lux vibe and amazing location in the Mihanovich tower; just a quick ride to Centro/Recoleta.
Pride Stages
- After the main Parade – Enjoy live shows and performances throughout the evening.
- Stages are located at “Plaza de Mayo” and “Plaza Congreso”
- Plaza de Mayo acts as the launch / gathering zone (Casa Rosada / Plaza de Mayo) with fairs, music, speeches before the march begins. More open, civic aura, adjacent to Casa Rosada, political speeches + live bands integrated with fair ambience.
- Plaza Congreso is the terminus of the march — traditionally the march finishes at Congress, then programming continues.
- It has a more festival / concert vibe wit heavier production, headline performers, big sound and lots of visual spectacle.
- Stay close to the pride after parties at the Palo Santo Hotel (Palermo Hollywood), with a small-lux vibe, complete with beautiful garden, outdoor hot tub, pool and in-room luxurious amenities.
Closing Concert
- Saturday 7th November 2026 – The post-parade celebration centres on Plaza de los Dos Congresos, with a free outdoor concert at the march’s finish.

History of Buenos Aires Pride
The first march in 1992, led by Carlos Jáuregui, attracted 300 people, many wearing masks to conceal their identity. More than twenty five years later, Buenos Aires has become the LGBT destination of choice in Latin America and the annual Orgullo (pride) parade attracts more than 100,000 people from all over the world.
The city’s open-mindedness and cosmopolitan culture, together with Argentina’s pioneering equal marriage and gender identity laws have established Buenos Aires as the top destination for LGBT tourism in Latin America, and November is a great month to visit with the Asterisco film festival and the Queer Tango Festival also taking place in the city.
