Seville gay pride is actually the pride of all of Andalusia, but yes it takes place in Seville. It is part “fiesta” part political statement, continuing to fight homphobia in more rural parts of Spain.
The city is located in Southern Spain and is the capital of Andalusia. Famous for all things vibrant, this is the home of flamenco, delicious food and amazing architecture. Add to that the great weather, year round, Sevill Pride takes place at the start of Summer kicking off the gay season in a city with a vibrant local gay community.
Although small by other Spanish city prides, the event brings together people from all over the region and the city is packed to capacity for the weekend of the Pride parade.
A series of pre-parties takes place with WE on Tour at Lux club, the election of Mr Gay Seville and a host of other pool parties, drag shows and parties at the various gay venues dotted across the city.
The main parade takes place on Saturday night from 8pm, so its an evening Parade parade in city center, from the Diputación Provincial de Sevilla to the Alameda de Hércules. ending at Plaza d’España where a festival with music entertainment & party will take place until the early hours of the morning.
Here are the hotels we recommend that have good reviews and keep you close to all the action,
Because of the many warm months going out in Seville often is an open-air culture. Sometimes there is more going on in front of the bars than inside. That’s especially true for the area around the park along the Alameda de Hércules, a popular hangout for having a drink and a chat with friends. There is one bar after another and basically all the bars there are at least gay-friendly and the gay bars are straight-friendly, so you’ll usually find a mixed, easy-going crowd.
