Oppa Tokyo, produced by Rainbow Events, is a fun pop-up K-Pop Party held throughout the year
Oppa Tokyo, produced by Rainbow Events, is a fun pop-up K-Pop Party held throughout the year with sexy GoGos and guest DJs.
- Stay close to the gay bars and clubs at the Mitsui Garden Hotel, and “Excellent” rated 4-star property. We love the hotel’s excellent location and spacious rooms with sweeping city views. They serve a tasty breakfast and have a superb rooftop bar for pre-party cocktails—a quiet area close to Tokyo’s spotless and efficient subway.
The Event
- Next Edition: From: Awaiting dates
- Celebrate all things “K-Pop” at Oppa, a popular pop-up party held 4 to 5 times a year in Tokyo.
- The event takes over the most popular venues in Tokyo and attracts younger gay guys and their friends.
- Featuring more than eight guest DJs from across South East Asia’s circuit scene.
- Enjoy live shows featuring the sexiest Oppa dancers.
- Mix and mingle with the horny Oppa Boys and enjoy stunning visuals by guest VJs.
- Next Edition is held at DLight from 10 pm to 5 am.
- Stay at the “Excellent” rated Hotel Kabuki, a beautiful 3-star property with high-end amenities and perfect location, just steps from Tokyo’s gay district. The rooms are stylish with superb facilities.
The Venue
- @d_light_tokyo – DJ & Gogo Boys’ bar + event space tucked into Shinjuku 2-Chome at 2-7-3 Vera Heights B1F, Tokyo.
- Night’s program shifts between straight-up club events and more erotic, themed “chill & sexy” parties.
- DLight Tokyo is inside Shinjuku Ni-chōme, the main gay district of Tokyo — less than 5 minutes on foot from the center of the bar area, so no taxi is needed. If coming from Shinjuku Station’s east exit, it’s about 1.5 km / 6 minutes by taxi.
Other Venues
- Club Asia – A legendary Shibuya club with a main floor that feels like a warehouse rave – high ceilings, stacked speakers, and space for big productions.
- Side rooms and balconies give it a layered feel, so you can dip between pounding house, pop remixes, or chill-out spots.
- The crowd mixes international visitors with Tokyo locals, making it one of the city’s go-to venues for special gay events.
- Stay close to the party at the Trunk Hotel – boutique, design-led, with a sleek bar and social vibe, just a few minutes from Shibuya Crossing.
Getting There
- Distance from the Gay District (Shinjuku Ni-chome)
- By taxi: around 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
- By metro: about 25 minutes – Fukutoshin Line from Shinjuku-sanchome to Shibuya is the easiest connection.

Clubs

Tips
- Many venues are small and can be hidden on the upper floors of buildings; look for rainbow stickers or signs.
- Some bars may have cover charges that include a drink.
- Ni-chome gets crowded on weekends, so consider weekdays for a more relaxed experience.
- While Japan is generally conservative, Shinjuku Ni-chome is very LGBT-friendly, and many venues have English-speaking staff.
