Boston Gay Pride 2026

Established in 1970, Boston Pride is one of the oldest pride events in the United States, commemorating the Stonewall Riots and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights. The celebration includes a lively parade that winds through the streets of Boston, featuring colorful floats, live performances, and participants from various organizations.

The Event

  • Next Edition: 6th June to the 14th June 2026
  • Highlights of Boston Gay Pride include the official flag raising ceremony and several block parties.
  • Although events run all month long, the main parade and parties take place on the second Saturday of the month.
  • The festival features a variety of events, parties, educational workshops, and family-friendly activities. Explore local vendors offering unique crafts and delicious food while enjoying live performances from talented artists after the main parade.

Boston Pride Parade

  • Saturday – Awaiting dates – From 11 am to 12.20 pm – One of the oldest Pride events in the country, beginning at Copley Square and continuing along Clarendon, Tremont and Berkeley streets in the South End before turning onto Boylston Street and finishing in the Boston Common.
  • Followed by a festival for families, teens and older community members.
  • A second event for the over-21 crowd takes place at City Hall Plaza with alcohol, a disc jockey and dancing.
  • Parade begins on Boylston Street. Turn right onto Clarendon Street. March past St. James, Stuart, Columbus Avenue, Appleton, Warren. Turn left onto Tremont Street.

Boston Pride Kick Off

  • Awaiting dates – To kick off the month, the City will be lighting up Boston City Hall in rainbow colors which will remain lit for the majority of the month of June.
  • The event includes live performances from local LGBTQ+ artists offering a safe space on City Hall property where everyone has an opportunity to come together in an uplifting and welcoming environment. The City of Boston’s theme for this event will be “PRIDE: Past, Present, and Future!”
  • Stay close to the gay bars and enjoy something different in Boston. Try The Upton Apartments or the Clarendon Square for a unique stay.

Rooftop at the Revere Hotel

  • Awaiting dates – The Revere Hotel Boston Common is hosts an annual big bash on its rooftop with guest DJs, live performances and surprise guests.

Chandler Street Block Party

  • Awaiting dates – Chandler Street and Berkley Street at Trophy room. Event entrances located on Berkley Street.
  • A favorite with the locals, Trophy Room is the epicenter of fun for the South End neighborhood. With a colorful atmosphere, superb food and drink options.
  • The event is run by Boston Proud.

Back Bay Block Party

  • Sunday – Awaiting dates-  the fun continues with a pair of GLBT Block Parties, held in the city's most gay-popular neighborhood, the Back Bay In the Back Bay (right by the South End), the Back Bay Block Party takes place from 2pm until 9 pm.
  • Stay close to the block party at the Courtyard Boston Copley Square, rated “Fabulous” by guests with spacious rooms, a modern gym and perfect location.

Gay Boston

Boston has several neighborhoods with sizable LGBT populations, with the South End being one of the most notable. Other areas  include Jones Hill, the Savin Hill and Melville Park areas of Dorchester, and Jamaica Plain.   • Jacque’s Cabaret – (Bay village) – Bostons oldest gay bar in one of Boston’s most salubrious neighbourhoods with fun drag shows, showgirls and stand up.
  • Cathedral Station – (South End) – The only gay sports bar in town with an enormous patio and delicious “hangover elixirs”
  • dbar – (Swan Hill) – A former Irish pub transformed into a delicious gay restaurant that morphs into a nightclub and lounge. Busy at weekends and theme nights.
  • The Alley (downtown Crossing) – Hidden, out of the way bear bar and late night beers, open ’till 2am.
  • Trophy Room – (South End) – The perfect way to start your day with delicious brunch options, signature breakfast cocktails and friendly environment.
