PARIS Gay Bars

Gay bars in Paris get busy from happy hour at 6 pm until clubbing time at 00.45 am at weekends. As one of the most-visited cities in the world the bars are always busy with tourists from around the world every day, mixing it up with lots of locals at the weekend.

Spyce, one of our favourite bars in the city, has great shows, friendly waiters and killer music!

Our guide to gay bars in Paris.

Most of the gay bars in Paris can be found in the Marais or Les Halles arrondissements. The “Aperitif” is still a celebrated institution in the city. Paris guys tend to go out in groups and often stay with those groups all night so striking up a conversation with a local can be a bit of a challenge. Most guys seem to leave their inhibitions (and their clothes) at the door of the dark room however. Check out our cruising section for more details.

The bar scene is best for visitors why don’t want to stay up all night. Start at Open Cafe after work hours and then hit the nearby bars after. Open Cafe is close to Cox, Raidd and other hot spots and is a great place to kick start your night out.

Cox has the busiest gay happy hour, beginning at 6pm. The sidewalk is full, 365 days a year. Nearby Raidd is famous for its nude Go Go boys taking showers behind glass doors! Spyce is a relative newcomer to the Paris gay scene and has quickly become the place to visit. Les Souffleurs is also “a la mode” at the moment.

  • What’s on?

Begin your evening in or around the Marais. Chat with the locals and you will quickly find out what’s going on that night! The Paris gay scene is constantly changing and new parties spring up and change locations regularly. Check out the events section for full details of what’s happening.
