Porto LGBT+ Music Festival 2022

Porto becomes the epicenter of Europe’s gay pride circuit in July as the city plays host to an array of LGBTQ pop stars, gay icons and allies. The event runs at the same time as the annual Porto Gay Pride March.

Up to 35,000 people are expected to attend the festival. Performances take place on four stages, across the city. The Porto LGBT+ Music Festival will run for 72 hours, making the city the perfect place to explore during a weekend of fun, music and parties.

• Confirmed acts include Iggy Azalea, Melanie C, Little Boots, Gloria Groove, Bimini Bon Boulash, Todrick Hall, and Jodie Harsh. More acts are set to be announced in the coming weeks, as well as a theme to help you narrow down those all-important festival looks.
• The city’s vibrant nightlife will hold several themed after parties with boat parties docking right at the festival itself.
• Porto LGBT+ Music Festival will coincide with the annual Pride march on July 2nd.

• Porto’s LGBT+ Music festival takes place on the banks of the River Douro in Porto, which has been featured in Unesco’s World Heritage list since 1996.

Gay Porto is made for exploring on foot, and you never know where the city’s medieval steps or hidden lane ways will lead you. While Porto doesn’t have a dedicated gay district, most gay bars, clubs and saunas are located around the Jardin da Cordoraria. The gay scene is discreet but worth exploring.  Popular districts include the Sao Bento train station and the Avenida Aliados.

Porto is relatively compact, so you are never too far from the busiest bars and top things to see and do if you stay in the city centre.  Alternatively, three tram lines run on different routes (separate from the public transport system) and are dedicated to tourists. The best tram to catch is Linha 22, which gets you close to most of the attractions in the old town.
