Pensacola Gay Pride Week is the place to be for everything Pride on the Emerald Coast!
Developing as an increasingly gay-friendly destination over the recent past, Pensacola has become the site of one of the nation’s biggest LGBT gatherings each Memorial Day Weekend. Gay-themed bashes like Pensacola Unleashed and Sexacola Beach are for queer-folk only!
Watch the panhandle’s largest city change overnight from culturally conservative to full-on fun-a-thon! For most of the week leading up to Memorial Day, guys and gals from all over the world descend upon our fair city to the tune of 200,000+, jump-starting the annual summertime boom times for hotels and restaurants on the beach and surrounding areas.
The big event of Pride is the Pensacola Pride Festival in the Park, a free gathering held in gorgeous and historic Seville Square Park from 11 am until 6 pm.
Among the many Pride events that take place during the week following the festival, there are some very fun gatherings, including an LGBT Mini Movie Marathon, Chili Dinner & Line Dancing, “Loving Our T&A (Transgender and Ally Brothers and Sisters)” Celebration Ball, and much more.
Roundup and Cabaret are some of the most popular destinations for the boys, with great drinks, dancing, and even karaoke! Want a chill spot where you can bring your own brews? Located downtown, just blocks from the shoreline, Bedlam is a high-energy nightclub that’s open late, and offers a BYOB policy!
Meanwhile, stops such as My Sister’s Room and Pensacola Unleashed appeal mostly to the girls. Pensacola Unleashed is four nights of action-packed concerts and great music live from Flounder’s Chowder House.
