Lumiere London A Truly dazzling event
London never looked so gay! Lumiere is a stunning light festival taking place across the capital. More than 40 UK and international artists reimagine London’s iconic architecture and streets, transforming the city into a dazzling nocturnal art exhibition.
Lumiere London is free to visit and taking place north and south of the river Thames, the UK’s largest light festival extends its reach across the capital. Everyone is invited!
Light shows will take place through six areas: King’s Cross, Fitzrovia, London’s West End (including Carnaby, Leicester Square, Oxford Circus Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, St James’s and St James’s Market), Mayfair, Westminster & Victoria, and South Bank & Waterloo.
Outer London boroughs are also involved, with residents having had the opportunity to take part in the creation of a number of festival artworks. Check back nearer the time for the full Lumiere programme.
Lumiere London artworks can be found in key London locations, such as Chinatown, Leicester Square, the National Theatre, the Royal Academy of Arts and Westminster Abbey.
Our favorite highlight is set to be NIGHTLIFE by the Lantern Company (UK) in Leicester Square Gardens.
