Gala Drag Queen Sitges celebrates its 3rd edition in February as part of the official Sitges Carnival celebrations.

The Drag Queen Gala
- Drag queens from mainland Spain, the canary islands and beyond will perform on a purpose-built stage at Fragata Beach. The event typically takes place on the Sunday preceeding the carnival celebrations. Carnival in 2024 takes place from the 4th to the 14th of Feburary.
- The aim of the grand gala “will be to recapture the essence of the gay carnival held decades ago”.
- Candidates will compete for the main title and will be evaluated based on their stage performance, make-up, choreography and costume.
- The show will include live performances by guest acts, Spanish celebrities, Carnival groups, bands, dance troupes and surprise guests.
- Drag Queen Gala Sitges marks the start of the Sitges Carnival festivities which continue until 22nd Feb.
- Stay close to all the parties and the Carnival parades at the Hotel Medium Sitges Park right in the centre of town with large rooms and highly-rated breakfasts.
After Parties
- Sitges is a compact village. Most gay bars are located along a T Junction of Calle Bonaire, Calle Joan Tarrida and Plz Industria.
- Most will host post-Gala and parties. The square outside Parrots and the streets outside El Horno are full each night from 8 pm until 3 am.
- Sitges Carnival attracts more than 250,000 visitors, so you should plan your trip well in advance.
