Celebrate the feast of San Juan, one of the most important festivals in Barcelona
Celebrate the feast of San Juan, one of the most important festivals in Barcelona. Enjoy a unique circuit pre-party at the world-famous Barcelona Gay Beach.
- Are you visiting Barcelona? The gay neighbourhood of Eixample, or Gayxample, is full of charming gay restaurants, bars and hotels. You can also find some great apartment options dotted across the city.
The Party
- Bonfires, firecrackers and fireworks! Are you ready for the annual Circuit Pre-Party at the Chiringuito “Begay Mar Bella Beach” to celebrate the craziest night of the year?
- San Juan will be lit by the hands of Circuit resident DJs Phil Romano & Moussa and Begay resident Dj Javi Vila.
- Join the hottest Barcelona boys on the beach and dance to the best music as the sun sets, and the fires begin and mingle with the sexiest Matinee GoGos all night long.
- The Party kicks off at 10 pm and, like all Barcelona events, runs late into the following day. The Party takes place on San Juan eve, so the following day is a holiday. Barcelona boys love to party late, especially when they can stay in bed late the next day!
- Stay in the centre of Barcelona, and take a taxi to the beach party. The NH Calderon is ideally located close to the gay bars and clubs of Eixample, close to the famous Las Ramblas in the heart of Barcelona. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop pool, spacious rooms and a gay-friendly staff.
Sant Joan
- The Feast of Sant Joan celebrates the start of the summer, and it is the longest day of the year, also known as the Summer Solstice.
- Sant Joan is one of the biggest festivals in Barcelona. On the night of 23–24 June, Barcelona fills with fireworks, cava, cakes, parties, and bonfires on the beaches.
The Venue
- Begay Mar Bella Beach is a beach bar “Chiringito” on one of the most famous gay beaches in Europe, located right in the centre of Barcelona.
- Barcelona’s only naturist beach is tucked away behind a long hillock of rustling bamboo. Take the metro L4 line to the Poble Nou station, and from there, walk straight down Bilbao Street towards the sea for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, take a rideshare or taxi from Gaixample for around €20.
