Saddle up for the World Gay Rodeo Finals!
The International Gay Rodeo Association’s signature event, the World Gay Rodeo Finals, returns to the South Point hotel Oct. 20-22. Come see the best in calf roping, chute dogging, steer riding, wild drag racing, goat dressing, bull riding and much more!
There are angry steers, chute dogging, team roping, a barrel race and a flag race. There is even a descendant of Wyatt Earp.
In the ring, men and women in denims and rhinestones are pitting their wits against broncos, while in the stands supporters cheer their hometown champion. It could be just another rodeo – if it wasn’t for the rainbow flags, the cowboys holding hands, and the highlight of the event: the drag race.
The Contestants competing in the 2017 WGRF are by invitation only. Contestants have competed at one or more of IGRA’s Member Association Rodeos and have earned points in their events throughout the rodeo season. At the end of the regular season, the top 20 competitors of each event receive an invitation to compete.
Events not to miss include the IGRA Royalty Competition a colourful on stage comeptition with the hottest cowboys and the most galmorous drag queens.
