New York – From Ball Drop to Rooftop Pool party!

Alegria New York

You could go to Time Square and watch the ball drop, its a once in a lifetime experience, but it can be cold and once you are there, expect to spend at least an hour to get to your next destination in 2017. Voss Events host an amazing Black Tie New Years Eve Gala at the swanky Royalton Hotel by Philippe Starck. Guests enjoy a champagne reception and dinner in the penthouse, a live band, multiple DJs, a living art installation and a midnight journey through the origin of avian flight.

But our favourite event actually takes place on New Year’s Day, where we suggest you experience the world-renowned vibe at Ric Sena’s daytime rooftop party Sunrise at Hudson Terrace in Hell’s Kitchen on New Year´s Day, with Spectacular views that extend all the way down to the newly completed Freedom Tower in Downtown Manhattan. Since this is an Alegria event, you can count on the hottest men in the city and points far beyond converging for muscle, muscle and more muscle — on the dance floor,  on the stage, gogo boxes, and all around you.

Where to party?

New York City has a history of providing gay travelers an unforgettable experience. The City’s gay friendly neighborhoods of Greenwich Village and Chelsea contain miles of shops, restaurants, gay bars and other meeting places. The famous Broadway and the never-ending rooms upon rooms of galleries and museums could entertain the typical gay traveler for years, much less days.

Whether you want to cruise the Hell’s Kitchen main drag, drink in the Village’s historic watering holes, or hop on the train to check out the scenes in Queens and Brooklyn, you’ll find a friendly crowd eager to make new friends

Head to the west village and check out Hangar Bar where men of all ethnicities harmoniously mix, mingle and cruise. Marie’s Crisis Cafe is a beloved West Village institution offering cheap beer, vodka highballs and an old-school piano-bar experience. Of course no visit would be complete without a trip to The Stonewall Inn. The high-energy dance music draws a mixed, flirty crowd. Drink at one of two bars, or shake your groove thing on the dance floor upstairs. Daytime brings gawking tourists, but the evenings are still for partying.

Where to stay?

Most of the gay bars are located in the Christopher Street and Time square areas. Stay close to these so you will save on taxis and ubers! The Marlton hotel is in the heart of Greenwich Village in the heart of the gay district and is our favorite hotel in the city.
